The price of bitcoin and other crypto tokens increased, but the gains in the largest crypto assets were limited while traders processed the Binance suit and anticipated the important economic data later in the day. This week has been a turbulent one for cryptocurrency news. The Ethereum and other crypto tokens in its orbit to the moon were propelled higher when the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) reiterated before Congress that it thinks ether is a commodity. The biggest cryptocurrency asset, Bitcoin, increased by more than 1% to reclaim the $27,000 level, returning to its upward trend. Ethereum, its biggest rival, increased by as much as 4% to trade around $1,800. Altcoins outperformed their major rivals and experienced significant growth. Due to the rise in US consumer confidence in March, most cryptocurrencies have seen an increase in worth over the past day. The price of bitcoin rose and regained the $27,000 mark. It might recover the $30,000 level that it dropped during the decline market in June 2022. With a gain of almost 4%, Ethereum beat BTC in the meantime. Ether’s worth may be increasing as a result of the CFTC chairman’s recent affirmation that it is a commodity, not a security. In the early trading hours on Wednesday, all the major cryptocurrency tokens were selling in the green. Cardano gained 9%, while XRP increased by more than 11%. Each of Polygoin, Solana, and Polkadot increased by 5%, while Litecoin increased by 3%. The market capitalization of all cryptocurrencies was trading considerably higher at $1.16 trillion, up more than 2% in the previous day. The overall trading volume did, however, drop significantly and dropped by more than 4% to $40.28 billion. Following the CFTC’s civil action against Binance and its CEO for running an illegal exchange and a phoney compliance program, the cryptocurrency market declined.
