Following a significant gain over the previous few sessions, Bitcoin and other crypto tokens experienced some profit taking on Thursday. Investors are considering several indications of economic contraction and possible fallout from the current banking crisis. In the previous day, Bitcoin lost roughly 2%, but it managed to keep the $28,000 level. Since Bitcoin, the second-biggest crypto token, lost less than 1% but fell below $1,900, Ethereum, its greatest peer, was also down. The reduction were greater for altcoins. Most cryptocurrencies witnessed a decrease ahead of the Friday release of the US non-farm payroll data. Over the past day, Bitcoin has decreased by about 2%, now trading around $28,000. The price of Ethereum increased, reaching its highest level since August of last year when it traded above the $1,900 mark. However, it has since decreased 1% and is presently selling at $1,892 a unit. Investors and traders may witness relatively low levels of market volatility as they prepare for the impending data release. All of the biggest crypto tokens were trading down on Thursday, with the exception of stablecoins tethered to the US dollar. Shiba Inu and Polygon both declined by 3%, while Dogecoin fell by 5% to lead the losers. Solana, Cardano, and Polkadot all fell by 2%. The market capitalization of all cryptocurrencies was trading slightly lower at $1.19 trillion, falling more than 1% over the previous day. Nevertheless, the overall trade volume fell by nearly 8% to $41.43 billion.
