Ethereum surpasses $1,850 while Bitcoin maintains steady at $28,000 After a protracted and quiet weekend, the price of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies was practically unchanged on Monday. The price changes were negligible. The market leader has barely moved during the past week as it traded in a fairly narrow range. On Monday, Bitcoin increased by about 1% to maintain $28,300 levels, while its largest peer Ethereum was also up and holding above $1,850. Despite the low trade volumes, the activity in the crypto assets was largely restrained.
According to Edul Patel, co-founder and CEO of Mudrex, most cryptocurrencies saw an increase in value over the weekend as a result of the non-farm payrolls report showing that the US economy added 236,000 jobs in the previous month. With its support at $27,900 and resistance at $29,200, “Bitcoin specifically overcame the $28,000 level.
Ahead of the Shanghai update on Wednesday, Ethereum is attempting to achieve the $1,900 milestone and is already trading at that level. Top crypto assets traded in a choppy manner on Monday. The activity in the crypto assets was, however, limited. Dogecoin increased by more than 1%, while Solana also increased by almost 1%. Avalanche and BNB also saw slight gains. XRP and Polygon both lost over 1%, and both were among the losers. Additionally in the red were Polkadot and Cardano. The market capitalization of all cryptocurrencies was trading little higher, circling $1.18 trillion, and increasing by less than 0.5 percent over the previous day.
The total trade volume did, however, increase by roughly 11% to $29.98 billion. “However, if the decline persists, we can anticipate strong support between $26,500 and $25,500. The market is currently cautiously bullish as Bitcoin is trading at roughly $28,200, Ethereum is at $1,852, and BNB is at $312.”
